Method statement builder

Use a structured UK activity library to assemble, edit and reorder the project sequence of works with supporting method-statement arrangements.

Overview

Browse work categories and activities, select the instructions that apply, then arrange and edit the project sequence without changing the underlying catalogue. The same hierarchy is carried into the RAMS output.

  • Ordered work sequence. Organise categories, stages and instructions in the order the work will actually happen.
  • Editable project copy. Official and private library rows are copied into the document before project-specific editing.
  • Site arrangements. Add competence, plant, PPE, permits, emergency, welfare and authorisation details.

How it works

  1. Check Industry preferences

Use Industry preferences to choose the industries whose work categories appear in the library.

  2. Browse categories and activities

Open the work categories, activities and stages involved in the planned work.

  3. Select applicable instructions

Select the checklist instructions that apply to the work. The selected items appear in the Planned sequence.

  4. Arrange and edit the planned sequence

Reorder the selected work and edit checklist wording where needed. The editor asks whether to keep changed wording in this document or save it to your private library.

  5. Complete supporting site arrangements

In Summary and Description, add the supporting arrangements, including supervision, competence, PPE, permits and emergencies.

Before you finish

A library sequence cannot know the current access, interfaces, equipment or site constraints. The competent person must make the copied sequence specific.
